All around us we see much falsehood and yet the person who is trying to walk the spiritual path must be honest. Honesty really is the best policy, it is a old-fashioned value that has been forgotten or discarded by some. Is that surprising when much of the world and media seem to mock goodness and honesty while revering and promoting deception?

Being honest isn’t always easy. In fact, it can be very difficult, even costly, but when you are trying to live by spiritual principles honesty is indispensable. Does this mean that we have always been honest and never fall short of our ideals? The simple answer is no!  But when we fall short we try to make things right. Self-honesty is a key to spirituality.

The person who is trying to live by spiritual principles is a rare gem in the crown of their God. A spiritual person searches for the truth without fear of what they will find: they know that truth is the very foundation that liberty and freedom are founded upon.

On the pathway of truth each discovery we make is a step to a higher spiritual plane, even if it may not appear that way at first. The Truth may be hard to accept as it is not fond of preconceived ideas. The spiritual person is willing to let go of their preconceived (albeit, reluctantly at times) because they prefer the truth over falsehood.

At some point in time all falsehood will gone, but the truth will always stand!
