Spiritual Principles or Religious Doctrines
June 26, 2009 0 CommentsSeeking to know the truth can be a difficult and painful road at
times. Personally, I always wanted the truth even if it turned out
to be one I didn't like or agree with I'd still prefer the truth.
This path has led me to places and revelations few have been or
could even begin to understand. Once upon a time someone said to
"you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free", he
didn't mention the cost...
After spending many years; tens of thousands of hours in
meditation, researching the Bible words and verses in depth I
arrived at a simple revelation; that Religion is a set of doctrines
written by men (and women) and translated by others (sometimes not
too well). Disputes over the meanings of the words and doctrines
has caused strife, division, war, murder, oppression, persecution
and many other negative things for thousands of years. Why? Because
people disagree over what the interpretation of a verse... Get
real! There are many religions that claim to have or to know the
literal or absolute truth; for the record, you don't! The saddest
part is that the mere fact that you think you have the truth
prevents you from receiving any real revelation from God.
Even within Christianity, a religion based on a few Gospels
(God's Spell) to offset all the curses that were
sown into the Bible in the Old (and New) Testaments there are
hundreds and thousands of denominations within Christianity alone.
Many of these denominations strongly dislike and even hate each
other over the others choice in how to interpret a scripture verse.
How does that coincide with a man who's message was to
set people free from oppressive religion
and rules made by men? How does it
coincide with Love One Another?
The day is coming when spirituality and spiritual
principles will be treasured above man made doctrines.
Spirituality is from above, it's from God. Does that mean that all
religion or church is bad? No. But in some cases the misapplication
of the words and doctrines is.
Even in the Bible ( OT) it mentions "the spiritual man
is destroyed". This wasn't referring to people who
lived spiritual lives or tried to live by spiritual principles. It
was what happened to a man, a man you
tried to live by spiritual principles and reconcile many people
with God. Do you now what weapon was used to destroy the spiritual
man? It was religion, and unenlightened doctrines taught by
men...
To anyone who reading this post that loves God, loves people and
tries to do what is right I say, Bless you. There
are many wonderful people in this world in every religion,
ethnicity, and country. I hope that someday soon the walls that
divide people will come down. I hope that someday soon no one will
use the name of God and the words of a book to condemn others. I
hope that someday soon people won't kill each thinking that that
they are serving God in doing so.
When I use the word, God I am using it in an
all-inclusive context. There are many Gods, Goddesses and Lords in
the Bible and other religious books. Most religions believe in an
all loving, all knowing and merciful Creator. It's hard to
understand how people take that belief and use it to hurt people.
